The Central Bank of Ireland has published its first “UCITS Questions and Answers” document on 4 February 2014. The Q&A endeavours to answer o queries likely to arise in relation to UCITS. The Central Bank of Ireland has published it in order to assist in limiting uncertainty. It is not relevant to assessing compliance with regulatory requirements. The document will be updated there from time to time. Currently it addresses two areas of interest only, being investments by UCITS in open-ended non-UCITS investment funds and the implementation of ESMA guidelines on ETFs and other UCITS issues.
